2015 KRTA Contributions
During the KRTA Annual Convention a “check“ is presented to represent the total monetary value of volunteer activities that retired teachers contributed to the state from the previous year. Cathy Gullett, KRTA President-Elect, presented KRTA President, Patsy Rainey, with the 2015 contributions valued at $19,143,611! This amount is calculated from reported volunteer hours and the donations of supplies and food items. GREAT JOB KRTA MEMBERS!
Who makes KRTA shine?
You do! KRTA wouldn't have the voice we do without its wonderful members! To date we are at 30,800 members strong!

KRTA Member in the Capitol
KRTA Membership Co-Chair, Debby Murrell, stood with Senator McGarvey during the 2016 General Assembly. Senator Morgan spoke of keeping promises to the young people of Kentucky. Debby Murrell spoke of her Uncle Bob, a World War II Vet, and told an interesting story of a 50+ year-old promise he had fulfilled. Relaying the message “Promises are for keeping, no matter how hard it may be or how long it may take.”
